Obuv Rossii says to sell cosmetics, household appliances
MOSCOW, Nov 26 (PRIME) -- One of Russia’s largest shoe retailers Obuv Rossii plans to become a marketplace and start selling goods of other companies, including cosmetics and household appliances, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
“The group plans to work with new partners under the marketplace principle and provide 30–50% of sales area of its more than 700 stores for goods of other suppliers…The assortment of retail goods will double its size with new categories, like home products, decorative cosmetics, small household appliances,” the statement read.
The company expects the model to raise the conversion ratio of its retail segment by more than 50% and revenue of existing stores by more than 30% in the next two years. The company will work with partners through the Prodayom online platform, which will be launched in December.
